  Is this place closed down yet? Anyone prosecuted? Watching RT documentary now and I am absolutely shocked. Not surprised but shocked. Disgusting. This kind of treatment is and will produce damaged adults. Traumatized, damaged adults. The Australian government, Employees, and facility need to be sued.

  This facility has conditions that are worse than a Russian gulag prison. It is appalling that the department of public prosecutions have done absolutely nothing to the detention centres guards who consistently abused the children.

  I don't care what people say. This place needs stronger security and they should be more strict with the juvenile delinquents who reside here. Two kids escaped and stole my vehicle directly from my residence in Tennant Creek. They then drove it to Katherine before abandoning it. I took the bus 7+ hours to retrieve it only to find the engine ruined and not running.

  Someone needs to take responsibility for this and action needs to be taken to ensure that young offenders are not treated like this again. Young offenders need to be rehabilitated not tortured and mistreated. How do we expect them to behave when the adults supervising them are the real criminals, how they supposed to know right from wrong? Who are they supposed to call? No one because the uneducated officers who are supposed to rehabilitate them are abusing their powers and taking advantage of the vulnerability of these children. Wake up and do something to show we won't stand for this.

  This is the 3rd time this individual has escaped from Don Dale, stolen cars, and caused mayhem. The detention center is incompetent, and the delinquents are truly criminals.
